Merging Canvases: From Fine Art to UX Research & Design

Hello there!

I am a first year graduate student in MSI UX Research&Design at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor.

I studied Fine Art in San Francisco in my undergraduate years. My artistic journey have taught me how to narrate stories to public and transform ideas to visual. I’m excited to infuse this unique perspective into crafting intuitive and accessible design that can enhance everyday experiences.

I always have been curious and creative person, which has made me to explore various fields from oil painting to research. My explorations ultimately sparked my interest in product design and I'm excited to kick off my new chapter as a product designer!

DDC Studio: non-profit art organization

In 2021, I ignited my passion for empowering young artists by co-founding DDC Studio in Korea.

It started as a personal ambition, but expanded into a organization with local artists in Ulsan.

We launched 4 exhibitions within an year and half, managing the end-to-end process together. As a founder and leader, I undertook varied responsibilities—from negotiating with gallery owners and designing promotional materials, to continually pursuing my own painting projects.

This journey was transformative both on a personal and professional level, building a deeper love for human connection and communication, and resolving multi-faced problems. The establishment and growth of DDC Studio have been a pivotal chapter in my life journey, shaping me into a multidisciplinary individual.
